Spaceballs 2008 Halloween Costumes

I dug up some photos from 2008 of my wife and I putting together our Spaceballs costumes for a company Halloween party. I lucked out and found a flight suit online for cheap and a company to create a custom “Barf” patch. The tail was tricky, but I made it work. I could even wag the thing. haha! Mary went all out with her awesome interpretation of Dot Matrix. The clunky ski boots really helped her walk just like a robot. You can find more photos from the series on my Flickr page. Baaaarf!

Due to the whole Walt Disney Company acquiring Lucasfilm Ltd. for 4.05 billion dollars today, artist Paul Shipper turned his original Star Wars piece titled The Gang’s All Here into an excellent Star Wars / Disney variant. Princess Leia can now “officially” be a Disney Princess. haha!

Sam Spratt:

Sam Spratt’s Halloween Portrait Contest!

In brief: Likes and Reblogs of this image are each entries in the contest to win a portrait of you drawn by me.

In slightly less brief:  To those new to this, that means that should you be the random winner, I would draw a portrait of your beautiful face (or someone’s face you care about)… as a horrifically ugly, flesh-eating, undead walker-face. It’s like winning the lottery! (except not at all like that…) That said, it is the best emotional preparation possible should you fall victim to the zombie apocalypse and run (walk slowly) across a mirror in the wreckage of your once beautiful town. (I will also draw you as anything halloween/horror themed, but the undead are a favorite).

Doing each of the following counts as an entry:

Facebook: Comment and/or Share this image >HERE<

Tumblr: Like and/or Reblog this image

Twitter: Following @samspratt and tweeting “Entering to win a portrait of myself drawn as the undead by @samspratt! http://on.fb.me/RPNehj

Contest closes on Sunday Oct. 28th at midnight EST

PS: Yes, that’s a drawing of The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes as a Walker

The Cakery, a Dayton, Ohio-based bakery, created this awesome video game themed wedding cake for my friend’s fun-filled wedding that went down yesterday (10/13/2012). I must say, it tasted just as amazing as it looks.

Mass Effect / SNES Instruction Manual Wedding Program Cover

My good friend Jesse is getting married to a lovely lady name Jessi this Saturday (10/13/2012) and the two fellow geeks asked if I could help with making a drawing / photoshop of them as video game characters. This is what the end result was, after some Photoshop work and rebuilding the Mass Effect logo. Jessi wanted a SNES instruction manual look for the cover design, so that is what I tried for. It also received a modern Mass Effect twist.
